Greetings, dear readers, and welcome to today’s roundup of SwitchArcade news for June 1st, 2023. This article is jam-packed with exciting new releases for your favorite console, along with the latest sales and discounts available right now. We’ve also got a review of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, so let’s dive right in!
New Releases
Puzzle Bobble Everybubble! ($39.99)
Good news, Puzzle Bobble fans! A new installment of the series is finally here, boasting a fun four-player local multiplayer mode and a fun Space Invaders crossover. Even if you don’t have friends to play with, this game guarantees an enjoyable experience solo. It’s also available for online play, but the community is yet to grow. Stay tuned for our full review of this game.
Puzzle Bobble/Bust-a-Move (16-Bit Console Version) ($7.99)
For those who prefer original arcade games with no fancy frills, the Super Famicom/Super NES version of Puzzle Bobble/Bust-a-Move is also available to play. This version offers two-player play and several modes at an affordable price.
Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun ($21.99)
Step into the Warhammer 40k universe with this first-person shooter that offers classic ultra-violence, with the added benefit of a gaming spin. However, the title of this game reminds me of Black Bolt from Marvel, so it loses points for it.
Monster Menu: The Scavenger’s Cookbook ($49.99)
From the makers of Disgaea games, Nippon Ichi Software presents a new title combining roguelite, strategy RPG, and cooking sim. While this fusion may seem like an odd one, it has its charm and quirks, and we’re halfway into a review already!
Farming Simulator 23: Nintendo Switch Edition ($44.99)
GIANTS Software has done it again with another classic farming sim game. With two new maps, new livestock options, plowing and weeding, and useful quality of life improvements, this game is perfect for those who love farming simulation.
Convergence: A League of Legends Story ($29.99)
This new addition to the League of Legends series is an action-platformer with Metroidvania elements, with a focus on one character’s time manipulation skill as the central mechanic. These types of games are often well-made, so we’re excited to give it a go.
ghostpia Season One ($19.99)
This game is a unique kinetic visual novel with a charming and mysterious story of a ghost girl trying to find her home. It’s worth checking out this game for its attractive visuals.
Glitch Busters: Stuck On You ($19.99)
This is a cooperative team-based shooter with a local or online multiplayer option for up to four players. It’s primarily aimed at multiplayer, and you’ll need to collaborate with your teammates to solve puzzles and progress through the game. However, reviews of this game do not currently look good, so we suggest you hold off for the time being.
A Western Drama ($19.99)
A Western-themed adventure game with an audio-only presentation. This game might be suitable for fans of Spaghetti Westerns and may offer a fresh way of interacting with the genre.
