Find and Catch Marlin in Dave the Diver
Embark on a Marlin-catching adventure in the thrilling game, Dave the Diver. Developed by MINTROCKET, this immersive experience allows you to become a harpoon fisherman, an underwater ambassador, and even a sushi restaurant assistant. The task at hand is to locate and capture the coveted spikey-nosed Marlin to fulfill the demands of the Marlin Party at the sushi bar. By successfully catching various fish species dwelling in the dynamic blue hole, you’ll earn cash, prestige, and the opportunity to upgrade your gear and enhance the sushi bar. However, each fish has its own unique behavior, capturing method, and preferred habitat, so it’s crucial to hone your skills and strategies to keep the crowd satisfied.
Marlins are highly sought-after predators in the seas, renowned among fishermen across the globe. Their elongated nose and sharp fin grant them exceptional speed and a formidable weapon. Typically found in warmer waters, they make for a remarkable catch.
In Dave the Diver, you’ll need to capture several of these magnificent creatures for the upcoming Marlin Party. The sushi restaurant demands only the finest Marlin, and you must ensure a steady supply. However, it’s essential to note that you won’t be able to find and catch Marlin until the Marlin Party event unfolds in Dave the Diver.
Marlins exhibit a similar pattern to the Tuna species thriving in the Blue Hole. They tend to linger near the water’s surface, typically between 0 and 45 meters. Despite being solitary creatures, they yield a substantial amount of meat if captured correctly. To achieve swift and efficient catches, I recommend utilizing a Steel Trap Bomb. Lure the fish into attacking and, once provoked, deploy the Steel Trap Bomb. This method guarantees an intact Marlin specimen and, hopefully, an undamaged Dave the Diver.
Should you find yourself without any bombs, the Sleeping Sniper becomes your best alternative. This remarkable firearm holds a 40% chance of inducing sleep in the Marlin, rendering it vulnerable to either drone extraction or an attack.
Attack Patterns
If you lack both of these weapons, brace yourself for an intense battle with the Marlin, reminiscent of the famous tale, Old Man and the Sea. Arm yourself with whatever resources are at your disposal and prepare for the fish’s attacks. The primary attack involves the Marlin’s powerful snout as it lines up and swiftly charges forward. Evade the attack by dashing away and capitalize on the Marlin’s cooldown period to retaliate using Dave the Diver. The second move to watch out for is the tail whip, only unleashed when you get too close. Therefore, maintaining a safe distance from the Marlin is crucial.
