Players Exploited the Glitch
Recently, a glitch occurred in Peru’s Nintendo eShop that allowed players to purchase the NBA 2K24 Black Mamba edition for only $1. Social media was buzzing with gamers who took advantage of this “too good to be true” price tag. By simply changing their account location to Peru, users were able to exploit the glitch and score the game at a 99% discount.
The Glitch Has Since Been Patched
Unfortunately, the glitch has been patched on Peru’s Nintendo eShop, preventing others from taking advantage of the discounted price. It’s surprising that Nintendo didn’t adjust the price sooner, as many users were able to snag a copy of the NBA 2K24 Black Mamba edition. The game skyrocketed to the top of the Nintendo eShop charts in Peru, becoming the third best-seller on the platform.
It’s Happened Before
This isn’t the first time a pricing glitch has occurred. Similar incidents happened last year in India with FIFA 23 and in Argentina with Sifu. In both cases, players were able to purchase the games at significantly reduced prices. The publishers and developers allowed buyers to keep their copies and enjoy the games, so it’s likely the same will happen in this current circumstance.
