In the world of Starfield, sometimes all we want is to engage in epic starship battles. Unfortunately, finding worthy opponents can be a challenge. That’s why we’ve put together this guide to help you locate ships to fight in Starfield.
Where to Find Ships to Fight in Starfield
Initially, space combat in Starfield can be intimidating. However, with practice, it becomes enjoyable and addictive. Yet, there never seems to be enough ships to satisfy your need for battle, especially if you’re trying to level up your skills. In order to find ships to fight, there are two main options:
- Patrol planets in remote locations around the galaxy.
- Visit the space combat simulator in New Atlantis.
If you’re looking to quickly level up a specific skill, then the space combat simulator in New Atlantis is your best choice. Upon joining UC Vanguard, you’ll have access to the simulator located on a lower level of the MAST Building. Defeating ships in the simulator earns you valuable experience points, even in the early stages. This is especially useful if you’re trying to master the Ship Command ability, for which you need to take out or board 80 ships.
While the simulator is reliable, it’s also worth testing out your new ship in random battles. When you venture out into the stars, you can use your upgraded vessel and earn more XP for defeating powerful enemies.
If you’re searching for ships to fight, explore the edges of less populated systems. In major cities, local patrols make the skies relatively safe. However, in remote systems, you’re likely to encounter Spacer fleets who may harass settlers, merchants, or skirmish with Freestar Collective Rangers. Joining these battles not only earns you valuable XP but also provides opportunities to salvage ship parts and even gain credits from the people you save.
Another option is to take on missions from mission boards. Some of these missions are centered around space battles and offer fast travel to the fight, as well as extra credits upon victory.
Starfield is now available for purchase on Steam and the Microsoft Store.
