Alan Wake 2: How to Obtain the Doorknob for the Hunting Rifle

If you want to acquire the Hunting Rifle in Alan Wake 2, it’s essential to locate the Doorknob. The Doorknob can be found in the Wellness Center during Return 5: Old Gods.

Locating the Doorknob

Once you’re inside the Wellness Center, your objective is to find Tor. However, on your way, it’s highly recommended to obtain the Hunting Rifle. The rifle is behind a door in the Workshop that has no handle. The location of the Doorknob in Alan Wake 2 is behind the front desk connected to the Staff Lounge.

Currently, you cannot access the Staff Lounge until you unlock the locked doors. The Security Room’s computer is responsible for locking certain doors. Make sure to use your map as a guide to navigate through the dark and eerie hallways of the Wellness Center.

Unlocking the Security Room and Accessing the Staff Lounge

Proceed through the eastern hallway to reach the Security Room. Here, you’ll need to unlock the Wellness Center computer. If you need assistance with the computer puzzle, refer to our guide. Alternatively, if you’re seeking immediate answers, the computer password is 170823.

Once you’ve unlocked the doors through the computer, return to the front entrance and enter the Staff Lounge. The Staff Lounge is only accessible through the first set of doors at the entrance, so be careful not to exit the building. Keep to your right, and you’ll find the Staff Lounge door.

The Doorknob for the Workshop is inside a box on the ground under the desk in the Staff Lounge! From there, simply return to the Security Room. You’ll notice the Workshop is right beside it. Attach the Doorknob to the door, and voila! The Hunting Rifle is now yours to wield.
