Behaviour Interactive has made adjustments to the latest Killer in Dead by Daylight.
The studio’s recent developer update for the popular asymmetric horror game includes several changes to Chucky, the new Killer set to be officially released alongside Chapter 30 on November 28.
Chucky has been available to play in the Public Test Build (PTB) for a couple of weeks and has proven to be a formidable addition to the game’s roster of iconic horror characters. However, one particular ability that was making Chucky too powerful has been modified.
The tweak involves the new perk, Batteries Included, which previously gave the Killer a significant speed boost when passing by a powered Generator. The issue arose when all Generators became powered when the last one was activated, making the perk far stronger in the endgame than intended. As a result, Batteries Included will now deactivate when the exit gates are powered.
Furthermore, the update slightly increases the time it takes for Chucky to Scamper under a pallet to provide Survivors with a better chance to react. Chucky’s movement speed after missing a Slice & Dice attack has also been adjusted to allow the player to gain more distance after a successful dodge.
In addition to Chucky’s changes, the Trickster has also undergone adjustments. His throw rate has been reverted back from four to three blades per second, and his Main Event ability now requires eight blades to activate, making it less easy to earn.
