Predictions for Potential Super Smash Bros. Inclusion in Switch Online

OLLIE: As Super Smash Bros. nears its 25th anniversary, it’s possible that the game could be added to the Nintendo Switch Online service. It’s also not unlikely that there may not be any new consoles added to the lineup. However, the addition of GameCube would continue to be eagerly anticipated by fans, given Nintendo’s preference for releasing these games as full-priced remasters.

JIM: There are still a few announced Game Boy / GBA titles that have yet to be added to the NSO service, such as Golden Sun and F-Zero Maximum Velocity. Additionally, the dream announcement would be Star Wars: Rogue Squadron, although it may be too far-fetched.

GAVIN: Fans would welcome the addition of Banjo-Tooie and other Rareware classics to the N64 Switch Online library. Moreover, adding the Pokémon Mini and its entire library for Pokémon Day, along with the GB(A) games, would be a nice touch to mark the occasion.

GAVIN: Fans may expect to see more lego collaborations, and other one-off events as well as possible tours and collaborations. Although any new console announcements would be speculative at this stage, appearances at gaming conventions are likely.

JIM: Speculations regarding the release of Professor Layton and the New World of Steam are gaining traction, accompanied by rumors of the porting of Baldur’s Gate 3 to the Switch. In addition, the possibility of a second screen add-on and the inclusion of DS games on NSO is also being contemplated.

GAVIN: The upcoming 35th anniversary of the Game Boy has ignited the desire for a Classic Mini-style DMG or GB Pocket with 30 games onboard. Additionally, hopes for a Grezzo-helmed Minish Cap remake and official Mother 3 localization continue to grow as fans eagerly await further announcements.
