According to a recent report from Insider Gaming, Respawn Entertainment is in the early stages of development for a new Star Wars game centered around the Mandalorians, as reported by VentureBeat’s Jeff Grubb.
The game, as reported, will be a first-person game where players take on the role of a Mandalorian bounty hunter and will have to capture bounties.
The game is set to focus on mobility and style
The game, led by Respawn’s Mohammad Alavi, is said to prioritize “mobility” and “style” as key elements. It’s important to note, however, that the game is not connected to the Disney+ series The Mandalorian. Instead, it is expected to take place during the Galactic Empire’s rule, potentially situating it between Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi.
Although not much is known at this time, the report mentions that the game won’t be open-world; instead, it will focus on a more linear narrative that will take players to different planets throughout the galaxy. The report also states that the game is still at least a year or two away from release, so fans will have to wait patiently for further updates.
