The Marvel Universe Comes to Life in Marvel Rivals

The Marvel Universe is vast and filled with some of the most beloved heroes in pop culture. NetEase Games is bringing these heroes to life in a new free-to-play 6v6 hero shooter game called Marvel Rivals. This game promises to bring together the most iconic superheroes and supervillains in intense battles with destructible environments and unique Team-Up skills.

The Exciting Gameplay of Marvel Rivals

Marvel Rivals offers thrilling 6v6 PVP action in arenas from different corners of the Marvel Multiverse, such as Asgard and Tokyo 2099. Players can choose from a wide range of heroes and villains, including members of the Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, X-Men, and more. Each character comes with unique Team-Up skills that can create powerful synergies on the battlefield. The closed alpha in May will feature over a dozen characters, with the official announcement trailer showcasing 18 characters from the current roster.

For fans whose favorite characters are not on the initial roster, NetEase promises a “robust” post-launch roadmap. Each season will introduce new characters and maps to keep the gameplay fresh and exciting. Marvel Games head Jay Ong expressed his excitement for the game, stating, “Marvel Rivals is one of our most ambitious projects. We have put our hearts and souls into this collaboration with NetEase Games to deliver the ultimate Super Hero team-based PVP shooter.”

The game’s storyline revolves around Doctor Doom and his 2099 counterpart causing chaos by merging universes in the Timestream Entanglement. Heroes and villains from different dimensions must join forces and battle against other multiversal groups to stop the two Dooms and save the multiverse.

NetEase Games boasts a talented team with experience in franchises like Battlefield and Call of Duty leading the development of Marvel Rivals. The game is currently being developed for PC, with a closed alpha set to begin in May. Players interested in participating in the upcoming tests can sign up on MarvelRivals.com.
