Thalamus is a crucial ingredient in Hades 2, necessary for various incantations in the game. However, obtaining thalamus and the elusive origin seeds needed to grow it can be quite challenging.
What thalamus is used for in Hades 2
You need thalamus to cast the “Unraveling of a Fateful Bond” incantation, which is essential for surviving on the Surface and unlocking all weapons in Hades 2. To create this incantation, you’ll need two each of lotus, nightshade, moss, and thalamus.
Moss can be easily found on the surface by looking for green patches. However, thalamus requires a different approach since it cannot be found in the wild. To obtain thalamus, you must grow it using origin seeds.
How to get thalamus from origin seeds in Hades 2
Unlike other plants, thalamus cannot be picked in the wild. You need to grow it using origin seeds, which are only found in Chaos’ realm. Head into the Underworld, find a Chaos Gate that leads to Chaos’ realm, and dig up some origin seeds using your Silver Spade.
You’ll require two seeds for the task, so keep visiting Chaos until you have enough. Once you have the seeds, return to the Crossroads, plant them using the “Flourishing Soil” incantation, and wait for the seeds to grow. After seven whiles, you can harvest your thalamus and complete the incantation.
