Final Update Coming to Redfall
After the news of Microsoft’s closure of several Bethesda studios, including Arkane Austin who developed Redfall, there were reports that the team was still working on DLC and updates, such as an offline mode.
A recent post on X confirms that the update is indeed still in progress. The post reads, “Thank you all for your supportive messages. We are working on releasing our final update, Game Update 4, which will include revamped Neighbourhood and Nest systems, Single Player Pausing, Offline Mode, and more. Additional details will be provided soon. Thank you all.”
It’s important to note that the Hero Pass DLC, which was set to introduce two new player characters to the game, is not mentioned in the update announcement. The DLC was canceled after the studio closure, and players are advised to visit a Bethesda support page for details on a credit program for those who had already purchased the DLC.
While the offline mode and other features are still in development, the Hero Pass DLC appears to be on hold.
Eurogamer has reached out to Bethesda for confirmation on this matter.
Even with this final update looming, Redfall is still worth exploring for one last adventure through its world.
