The correct order for the Founts of Light and Darkness
When navigating the Founts of Light and Darkness in Destiny 2: The Final Shape, it’s crucial to follow a specific order to progress through the campaign smoothly. The key to determining the correct sequence lies in the number of beams of light emanating from the plates. Each plate corresponds to a specific number of beams, indicating the order in which they should be activated.
To initiate the activation process, you must acquire the corresponding Motes by defeating the Guardians of Light and Dark. These enemies will drop the necessary motes to untangle the Founts and advance in Destiny 2.
Light motes can be obtained by eliminating a Guardian of Light and Dark using the shield, resulting in three light motes that can be used to unravel a light Fount. Dark motes, on the other hand, can be collected by defeating the same enemy with any weapon, yielding three motes for untangling a dark Fount.
Follow this activation order:
- In the center of the right corridor (Light)
- At the entrance to the two corridors (Dark)
- At the start of the left corridor (Light)
- In the middle of the left corridor (Dark)
Ensure to carry the appropriate motes to each plate to activate them correctly. If the order is incorrect, you’ll need to restart the process. The directions are based on your entry point into the room.
Where to collect the motes
To gather the motes required for untangling the Founts in Destiny 2, focus on defeating the Guardians of Light and Dark. One Guardian can be found in the middle of the right corridor, directly opposite the first Fount. Another Guardian awaits at the end of the corridors. These enemies pose minimal threat and respawn regularly after being vanquished.
With the Founts untangled, you’re now equipped to progress further and unlock your class aspects in Destiny 2.
