Upcoming Dead by Daylight Survivor Teased for July Release
The next survivor for Dead by Daylight is set to arrive in July, with developer Behaviour Interactive keeping the character’s identity under wraps. However, a prominent leaker in the community has hinted that the new survivor could possibly be Tomb Raider’s iconic character, Lara Croft.
Speculations on the Dead by Daylight Tomb Raider Crossover
Although not much information was shared by the leaker, Gumpy, regarding Lara Croft as a Dead by Daylight survivor, fans are excited about the potential crossover. The Year 9 roadmap has confirmed that there will be no new Killers or maps introduced in July. The next killer is scheduled to debut in August, with a new map planned for December. Despite this, the addition of new content is always welcomed by players, and fans of Tomb Raider may embrace Lara Croft’s presence in the game.
Reports of the Tomb Raider crossover surfaced after a comment made by the reliable leaker, Gumpy, during a recent developer livestream. Gumpy has a strong track record of providing accurate information to the Dead by Daylight community, having previously leaked details about other crossovers such as Dungeons and Dragons and Castlevania. With this in mind, it is highly plausible that Lara Croft will indeed be the next survivor to join Dead by Daylight.
One lingering question among fans is which version of Lara Croft will be featured in the game. While Crystal Dynamics introduced a “unified” Lara Croft design earlier this year, combining elements from various iterations of the character, many believe that the reboot Lara Croft from the 2013 game would be the most suitable choice for a Dead by Daylight survivor.
As pointed out by a Reddit user, the 2013 Tomb Raider game incorporated some horror elements, drawing inspiration from the 2006 film, The Descent. The intense moments and challenges faced by Lara in the game have resonated with players, making her a potentially thrilling addition to the world of Dead by Daylight.
