Accidental Game Localization Announcement
It seems that another game localization announcement may have slipped out ahead of Anime Expo 2024.
This time, the spotlight is on the action role-playing game Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana, which has already made its way to the Nintendo Switch in Japan. In a since-deleted social media post, XSEED Games inadvertently shared an image of its Anime Expo 2024 lineup while mentioning a demo.
According to Gematsu, this post was likely meant for the final day of this year’s event but ended up scheduled for the wrong date. The updated version of ‘The Oath in Felghana’ first debuted on the Switch in April 2023 and is inspired by Ys III: Wanderers From Ys.
The Oath in Felghana Western Release
If a local release is indeed in the works, we can expect to hear more during Anime Expo 2024 from 4th – 7th July. Here’s a glimpse of what to anticipate:
“Ys: The Oath in Felghana was highly acclaimed as a masterpiece in the Ys action RPG series. This high-definition remastered version further improves the game with additional elements.”
Latest Developments
Following this reveal, there has also been buzz about the unveiling of an English logo for The Legend of Heroes: Trails Through Daybreak II. Stay tuned for updates!
