A new season brings a new set of challenges to conquer. One of these challenges is the Seasonal campaign, where players can embark on missions to earn valuable loot. The Wages of Hatred quest is a crucial mission in this campaign, but many have struggled to locate the main NPC, Istel. This guide will assist you in finding her in Zarbinzet.
Where is Istel in Zarbinzet
The Wages of Hatred is the final quest in the Seasonal campaign in Diablo 4. To begin this mission, you simply need to interact with Istel for a few minutes. After completing The Rising Hells quest, you will automatically receive the Wages of Hatred quest and must speak to Istel to progress.
Completing the Wages of Hatred quest rewards players with Istel’s Grimoire, a Legendary item, and two item caches. This quest serves as the conclusion to the Season 5 Campaign, making it a pivotal moment for players. However, locating Istel has proven to be a challenge for many gamers due to her elusive nature.
Initially, Istel can be found in Zarbinzet near the city center where most NPCs reside. However, she disappears once players start the Wages of Hatred mission. Although this may seem like a bug, it is actually part of the quest mechanics, requiring players to search for Istel throughout the city.
Despite the circle prompts covering the entire city, Istel’s new location is static. Players can find her near the Northeastern Gate of Zarbinzet. Once near her, the circle prompt will disappear, and a new icon will appear on her location. Additionally, Istel will be surrounded by deceased enemies who previously attacked her.
Upon interacting with Istel, players will receive instructions to return to her family’s house, where they initially encountered her. This house is where players can claim the rewards with Mother’s Gifts. Look for Istel’s Grimoire on the table, read it, and complete the quest to finish the Seasonal campaign in Diablo 4.
With the Seasonal campaign completed, players can shift their focus to farming Helltides or Infernal Hordes for exclusive rewards and resources needed for Mythic Uniques.
