Understanding the Infernal Horde
The Infernal Horde is a challenging end-game content where players face multiple waves of demonic armies from Hell and must survive until the very end. Each run culminates in a unique boss fight, offering players access to valuable loot. The Horde is divided into tiers, with higher tiers offering better drops but also increasing the difficulty level with fewer revives allowed:
- Tier 1 (Monster Level 60)
- Tier 2 (Monster Level 80)
- Tier 3 (Monster Level 100)
- Tier 4 (Monster Level 120)
- Tier 5 (Monster Level 140)
- Tier 6 (Monster Level 160)
- Tier 7 (Monster Level 180)
- Tier 8 (Monster Level 200)
- Tier 9 (Release after Mid patch of Season 5)
- Tier 10 (Release after Mid patch of Season 5)
To access higher tiers, players need to upgrade their Infernal Compasses using Abyssal Scrolls, which are essential enhancement materials.
Farming Abyssal Scrolls
To farm Abyssal Scrolls, players must complete Infernal Hordes and loot all chests during runs. The scrolls have a chance to drop at Torment Level, with higher chances in Tier 2 and Tier 3 runs. Increasing chances can be done by investing Smoldering Ashes in Season Blessings, specifically activating the Urn of Abyssal Knowledge for a 40% boost in drop rates from Spoils of Hell chests. Abyssal Scrolls can also be obtained by dismantling higher-tier Infernal Compasses.
Obtaining Infernal Compasses
Infernal Compasses can be obtained from Infernal Hordes and No Name Dungeons found in the overworld. Higher-tier compasses are more likely to drop at Torment Tier 2 and above, making it essential to focus on farming Tier 2 and 3 Infernal Hordes for better chances at obtaining Abyssal Scrolls.
Using Abyssal Scrolls on Infernal Compasses
Upgrading Infernal Compasses with Abyssal Scrolls is a simple process of left-clicking the scroll and using it on the compass. It’s important to note that the upgrade process is irreversible, and once upgraded, the compass tier cannot be lowered.
