Deadlock Officially Added to Steam
Exciting news for shooter fans – Deadlock has finally been officially added to Steam. Despite already amassing a peak of over 16,000 concurrent players earlier this month, Valve had not acknowledged its existence until now.
The Steam page for Deadlock reveals very little information. The release date is simply listed as “to be announced”, and the game is described as “a multiplayer game in early development”. The only available asset is a 22-second trailer that offers some worldbuilding elements but no gameplay details, with no screenshots provided at all.
“Deadlock is in early development with lots of temporary art and experimental gameplay. Access is currently limited to friend invite via our playtesters,” the Steam page clarifies.
According to “Yoshi” on the official Discord server, the development team has decided to relax the rules regarding public conversations about Deadlock, allowing for activities like streaming, community websites, and discussions.
Valve had previously trademarked Deadlock back in June, hinting at the game’s eventual release on the platform.
