Location of Blaidd’s Armor Set in Elden Ring: Explained
Blaidd’s armor set can be found on his body in front of Ranni’s Rise. To obtain his armor, you must defeat him. Prior to that, you’ll need to summon Blaidd by placing the Dark Moon Ring on Ranni’s finger.
After a long journey through various regions and hidden dungeons, you will finally reach Moonlight Altar in Elden Ring. Below the tunnels of the Cathedral of Manus Celes, you’ll discover a bloodied Two Fingers and a doll resembling Ranni. If your character already possesses the Dark Moon Ring from Rennala’s chest, you can place the ring on the doll’s finger.
Although no Beyonce song will play, Ranni will appear before you, instructing you to follow the path of the Elden Lord. She also urges you to convey her love to Blaidd and Iji, the golem smith at the road leading to Caria Manor. This encounter not only influences the ending you will experience in Elden Ring but also triggers something within Blaidd.
Upon returning to Three Sisters/Ranni’s Rise, you’ll hear Blaidd speaking in distress, claiming a deep connection to Ranni. Grief-stricken by Ranni’s absence, he is driven mad and will attack once you approach him.
Note: At this point, it is uncertain whether there is a way to prevent Blaidd from becoming hostile. So far, encounters with him have only been reported in Mistwood Ruins/Forlorn Hound Evergaol and Caelid/Redmane Castle. Even using Celestial Dew in the Church of Vows does not prevent this event, as it is a story/quest-related kill.
Strategies for Defeating Blaidd in Elden Ring
Blaidd possesses formidable attacks, but his slow pace allows you to anticipate his movements. Watch out for his special leap attack, followed by a Frostbite eruption upon landing.
Acquiring the Black Wolf Mask in Elden Ring
After defeating your former friend turned foe, you will receive Blaidd’s armor set and the Royal Greatsword. While there isn’t a wolf helmet dedicated to Blaidd, you can find a suitable substitute at Seluvis’ Rise, the southernmost tower in Three Sisters.
