What to Expect from the Next Astro Bot Adventure
An exciting hint at a potential Astro Bot sequel has surfaced through the game’s trophy list, sparking speculation among fans about more adventures featuring the beloved robot.
Clues from the Trophies
Upon closer examination of the trophy list for the upcoming platformer, eagle-eyed fans noticed a promising message. The Platinum trophy congratulates players and teases them about encountering Team Asobi in “Astro’s next adventure!” While this is not a definitive confirmation, it aligns with the studio’s past practice of hinting at future titles through trophy descriptions.
What We Know So Far
Astro Bot has established himself as a pseudo mascot for the PlayStation, making it highly probable for a sequel to be in the works. With the game set to launch on September 6, 2024, fans may have to wait a while before embarking on a new Astro Bot journey. However, the promise of new worlds, powers, features, and characters suggests an even bigger and more immersive experience than its predecessor.
Exploring the Trophies
The Astro Bot trophy list boasts a total of 44 accolades, including the coveted Platinum trophy. Creative director Nicolas Doucet estimates that players aiming for the Platinum trophy will need to invest around 12-15 hours, depending on their playstyle. In addition to story progress milestones, players will also need to locate and rescue all 300 Bots scattered across various biomes, with half of them being cameo appearances from other PlayStation games.
