A Resounding Truth
Our journey begins at the H.E.L.M. where we meet with Failsafe to discuss the latest update regarding Maya Sundaresh, the central figure in this narrative. A cinematic unfolds, shedding light on Maya’s unexpected transformation. After the conversation with Failsafe, she directs us to return to the core of Nessus and venture deeper into the planet, aligning with the new exotic quest Encore.
Step 1 — Defeat the Conductor’s forces in the Exotic mission Encore
To begin, embark on the new Exotic quest Encore from the H.E.L.M. and see it through to completion. If you require assistance navigating this lengthy mission, refer to our detailed Encore Exotic mission guide. Note that completion of Acts 1 and 2 of A Rising Chorus is a prerequisite for initiating this new Exotic quest.
Upon successful completion of the mission, you not only acquire the new Exotic auto-rifle Choir of One but also unlock the subsequent step in the weekly quest line.
Steps 2 & 3 — Meet with Ikora in the H.E.L.M, then speak with Failsafe
Upon returning to the H.E.L.M., Ikora provides insight into the unfolding events and Maya’s true intentions. This leads to a conversation with Failsafe, who is eager to pinpoint the Conductor’s base coordinates. To assist Failsafe in this endeavor, you must retrieve a piece of Golden Age tech, which she believes can be found in a specific location.
Step 4 — Find the stolen Golden Age component on Nessus
Within The Rift lost sector on Nessus lies five Golden Age tech pieces. Teleport to the Exodus Black landing zone on Nessus, head left towards the wall, and locate the entrance to the lost sector near a fuselage on the ground. Traverse through the lost sector, following the markers until you confront the boss. Clear out the enemies to make collecting the tech smoother.
Golden Age Component #1
The first Golden Age component is conveniently located above the lost sector chest. Simply jump onto the platform and interact with the chest to obtain the component.
Golden Age Component #2
The second component can be found in a crate near the lost sector chest. Head to the left side of the arena to locate the crate and retrieve the component.
Golden Age Component #3
Our third tech piece awaits on the right side of the arena next to the wall. Interact with it to progress towards completing the components.
Golden Age Component #4
Proceed to the back of the wall from where you found the third component to locate the fourth chest on the right side of the arena.
Golden Age Component #5
Following the retrieval of the fourth tech piece, look towards the entrance to the arena to find a raised platform on the right side. Ascend to the platform and collect the final Golden Age Component from inside a room.
Steps 5 & 6 — Upgrade Failsafe in the H.E.L.M.
Return to the H.E.L.M. and enhance Failsafe’s systems to version 3.0 by interacting with her. She furnishes you with a perfected Radiolite Sampler and tasks you with completing the NES00 quest to advance the story.
Step 7 — Help Failsafe research specimen NES007 and discover its secrets
To progress in A Rising Chorus Act 3, undertake the NES007 side quest, which involves defeating Vex with Solar damage. Various methods, such as the Orrery Lost Sector on Nessus, can expedite this process of defeating Vex.
NES007: Step 1 — Defeat Vex with Solar damage
Begin by defeating Vex using Solar damage, which can be accomplished in various areas in Destiny 2. Consider activities like the Orrery Lost Sector on Nessus for an efficient Vex hunting experience.
Alternatively, head to the Artifact’s Edge landing zone on Nessus and delve into the Orrery Lost Sector to engage an abundance of Vex. Rout the enemies without defeating the boss to expedite progress and maximize efficiency.
NES007: Step 2 — Secure the data Failsafe needs
After vanquishing enough Vex with Solar damage, proceed to acquire Extracted Data and defeat Vex bosses in the Arena Breach Executable activity to proceed to the next stage of the quest.
NES007: Step 3 — Rapidly defeat Vex to acquire a large sampling of their CPUs
Rapidly dispatch Vex to acquire their CPUs efficiently. Utilize the Orrery Lost Sector or similar locations for swift completion of this step.
NES007: Steps 3 & 4 — Speak with Failsafe in the H.E.L.M. to review her report and display the specimen in your collection
Conclude the tasks and return to the H.E.L.M. to confer with Failsafe. Receive the seventh specimen from her and exhibit it in the display behind her.
Step 8 — Visit the holoprojector in the H.E.L.M.
Interact with Failsafe at the holoprojector to listen to a message from Saint-14. Gain insights into his perspectives surrounding the ongoing events and the actions being taken to counter the Conductor.
Steps 9 & 10 — Visit the holoprojector in the H.E.L.M. and speak to Saint-14
Saint-14 calls for a discussion at the H.E.L.M. to devise strategies alongside Osiris in combating the corrupted Maya Sundaresh. This collaboration necessitates obtaining Exo data from a specific lost sector on Europa.
Step 11 — Recover the Exo data from the Lost Sector on Europa
Accessible through the Eventide Ruins landing zone on Europa, venture into the Perdition lost sector to retrieve the Exo data. Complete the sector by defeating the boss and claiming the rewards.
Step 12 — Locate the consciousness driver on Europa
Retrieve a consciousness driver from Bray Exoscience on Europa after securing the Exo data. Navigate through the facility to locate and acquire the driver, aiding Failsafe in her research endeavors.
Upon entering the designated area, ascend the stairs to a room on the second floor, eliminating enemies along the way. Behind a vending machine in the second room, you’ll find the consciousness driver awaiting your retrieval.

Embark on the Exotic mission Encore once more and fulfill the objective by combating the Conductor’s forces, including new adversaries like Cabal champions influenced by the Conductor. Complete the mission as you did in previous weeks, culminating in a revelation about Maya’s past.
Upon vanquishing the final boss, claim your rewards and progress to the next stage of the story quest.
Step 14 — Visit the holoprojector in the H.E.L.M.
Return to Failsafe at the H.E.L.M. and witness a message from Osiris providing further context on the impending challenges and the significance of the ongoing struggle against the Conductor.
Steps 15 & 16 — Visit the holoprojector in the H.E.L.M.
Interact with the holoprojector to receive additional details from Ikora regarding the escalating conflict with the Conductor. Prepare to confront the looming threat as the narrative reaches its climax.
Step 17 — Search the Neomuna Veil Containment terminals
To progress further, interact with a terminal on Neomuna to discover the true Chioma. Navigate to the Veil Containment quest on Neomuna and locate the terminal to proceed.
Step 18 — Install a network relay for Failsafe to boost her connection
Enhance Failsafe’s connectivity by installing a network relay in Ahimsa Park on Europa. By placing the relay, Failsafe gains improved access to the Vex network for potential contingencies.
Step 19 — Stop the Conductor’s plans by destroying the Choral Mind in Exotic mission Encore
Engage in the Exotic mission Encore for the third consecutive week and thwart the Conductor’s schemes by navigating through the mission once more. Amidst familiar tasks, confront new adversaries influenced by the Conductor.
Step 20 — Confront the Conductor

Steps 21 & 22 — Speak with Failsafe and Saint-14 in the H.E.L.M.
Conclude your journey by conversing with Failsafe and Saint-14 at the H.E.L.M., reflecting on past events and anticipating the challenges ahead. While the end of this episode may have been underwhelming, it sets the stage for the future trajectories of Destiny 2.
