NYT Connections today (game #468) – the answers
The answers to today’s Connections, game #468, are…
- YELLOW: CLAIRVOYANT – MEDIUM, MYSTIC, ORACLE, PSYCHIC
- GREEN: SPECIAL EDITION ADJECTIVES – COLLECTIBLE, EXCLUSIVE, LIMITED, RARE
- BLUE: “GREAT JOB!” – IMPRESSIVE, NICE, PROPS, WELL DONE
- PURPLE: EXTREMELY – AWFUL, BLOODY, REAL, WAY
- My rating: Easy
- My score: 1 mistake
This Connections puzzle was surprisingly straightforward, even compared to recent ones, though I did make one error. It was a bit of a silly mistake; the misdirection from the NYT caught me off guard. Specifically, BLOODY, RARE, WELL DONE, and MEDIUM could have been interpreted as ‘Ways to cook a steak,’ but they actually belonged to different groups.
Upon further examination, MEDIUM, MYSTIC, ORACLE, and PSYCHIC formed a group for a CLAIRVOYANT (yellow), while COLLECTIBLE, EXCLUSIVE, LIMITED, and RARE created a group for SPECIAL EDITION ADJECTIVES (green). The blue and purple groups were more straightforward this time, with no overly complex connections.

What is NYT Connections?
NYT Connections is a popular word game from the New York Times that challenges players to group four items with something in common. The game offers varying difficulty levels: green is easy, yellow is moderately challenging, blue is quite tough, and purple is very difficult.
Players have the flexibility to make up to four mistakes and can deduce the final group through process of elimination. While more involved than Wordle, NYT Connections provides ample opportunities for clever wordplay and tricks that can stump players.
