Top Buffed Weapons After Patch

S-Tier

Arrowhead Games has introduced a round of buffs in Helldivers 2, causing a stir among players eager to test out the updated weapons. To help players navigate these changes, we have created a tier list ranking the performance of each weapon in battle.

Recoilless Rifle / SPEAR / Quasar Cannon / Expendable Anti-Tank

These support weapons have emerged as the top contenders in their category. With increased damage output, they prove to be the most dependable anti-tank weapons in the game, capable of taking down challenging targets like Chargers, Bile Titans, Hulks, Dropships, and Tanks with ease.

Arc Thrower / Arc Blitzer

The Arc Thrower and its variant, the Arc Blitzer, have been revamped to offer more utility beyond crowd control. Upgrades include a stun effect that intensifies with each consecutive hit on the same target, along with extended range and improved target coverage. These enhancements make the arc weapons versatile options for clearing out weaker enemies and supporting anti-tank players.

Flame Weapons

Following a controversial nerf in a previous patch, fire weapons have received significant improvements in projectile physics, damage output, and target versatility. The Flamethrower, in particular, now excels at eliminating various Terminid threats and even poses a challenge to some Automatons.

Railgun

The Railgun, once a victim of overperformance adjustments, has undergone a substantial buff to enhance its durable damage and overcharge capabilities. These upgrades position the Railgun as a reliable choice for combat scenarios, especially against medium-armored targets.

Crossbow / Eruptor

Both the Crossbow and Eruptor offer effective area-of-effect damage, making them valuable for clearing weaker and moderate enemies. With damage boosts and enhanced functionality, these weapons are ideal for handling multiple threats on the battlefield.

Breaker

The Breaker, once a staple weapon in Helldivers 2, has reclaimed its status as a top choice for anti-bug combat. With increased ammo capacity and stagger force, the Breaker proves to be a formidable primary weapon against bug enemies.

Laser Cannon

Already a solid weapon, the Laser Cannon has received a game-changing upgrade that allows it to damage heavy targets effectively. This versatility makes the Laser Cannon a valuable asset in both Terminid and Automaton engagements, even on the toughest difficulty settings.

Thermite Grenade

With a staggering 1000 damage buff, the Thermite Grenade stands out as the most potent grenade in Helldivers 2. Its high damage output makes it an essential tool for players facing Elite enemies and lacking dedicated anti-tank weapons.

A-Tier

Autocannon

The Autocannon has received a slight buff, allowing it to damage Elite targets like the Bile Titan and Hulk. While versatile, the Autocannon remains a solid choice for players who can consistently land shots on specific targets, making it a reliable option for various combat scenarios.

Dagger

Previously overlooked due to performance issues, the Dagger now offers improved damage output and functionality, making it a viable backup weapon with infinite ammo potential. These changes enhance the Dagger’s value in challenging missions and elevate its status among sidearm options.

Anti-Materiel Rifle

Initially underwhelming in armor penetration, the Anti-Materiel Rifle has received significant enhancements, making it a specialized weapon for targeting Automatons. With fixes to scope alignment and increased armor penetration values, the Anti-Materiel Rifle now excels as a bot-hunting tool.

Scythe

Recent buffs have transformed the Scythe laser rifle into a potent weapon for combating Terminid threats. With the ability to set enemies on fire after consistent targeting, the Scythe proves to be an effective choice for eliminating Terminid adversaries, though bringing down Automatons may require precise headshots.

B-Tier

Commando

Despite receiving buffs along with other anti-tank weapons, the Commando falls short of one-shotting certain enemies, making it less competitive compared to alternatives like the Recoilless Rifle. While a solid support weapon, the Commando lacks the versatility and effectiveness of higher-tier options.

Liberator Penetrator

Despite a damage increase, the Liberator Penetrator struggles to perform effectively against both Automaton and Terminid threats. With other weapons offering similar armor penetration capabilities, the Liberator Penetrator currently lacks a compelling reason for inclusion in loadouts.
