We’re excited to announce that Xbox Insiders on Xbox Series X consoles can now join Off The Grid – Pioneers. But before you dive in, there are a few key things to keep in mind. Read on for all the details on how to snag your free pass to Teardrop Island.
About the Game:
Prepare for the most intense Battle Royale experience ever! Collaborating to create the ultimate adrenaline rush, three major gaming companies have come together to offer pro gamers a unique cyberpunk Battle Royale set on a dystopian tropical island ravaged by corporate conflicts.
Off The Grid: Pioneers, imagined by Neill Blomkamp (known for District 9), combines PvP and PvE elements to redefine the genre. Discover the first locations, weapons, limbs, and game modes with an immersive narrative campaign on Teardrop Island while facing the challenges of a Battle Royale. Are you up for the challenge?
Enhance your character by collecting high-value gear on the Island and upgrade them with cybernetic limbs to gain unique abilities during gameplay.

Key Features:
Cyberlimbs
Unleash powerful abilities by looting and swapping unique cyberlimbs during gameplay. Abilities include toxic gas, trip mines, increased speed, auto-missiles, jetpack jumps, and more.
Teardrop
Explore the various regions of Teardrop Island, including OCIO, Little Kyiv, Stork City, Marshlands, and Saltie.
Customization
Enjoy weapon and attachment customization options, along with three free loadout slots to cater to your playstyle.
How to Participate:
- Sign in on your Xbox Series X console and launch the Xbox Insider Hub app (or install it from the Store if needed)
- Navigate to Previews > Off The Grid – Pioneers
- Click on Join
- Wait for the registration to complete, then proceed to the Store to install Off The Grid – Pioneers
NOTE: Matchmaking is available daily from 6PM CEST (9AM PT / 12PM ET) to 2AM CEST (5PM PT / 8PM ET)
NOTE: Limited space is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
NOTE: This playtest is exclusive to Xbox Series X consoles and Xbox Insiders in specific regions.
