Nintendo Launches New Mobile App ‘Nintendo Music’ for Switch Online Members
Nintendo has introduced a specialized mobile app called ‘Nintendo Music’ exclusively for Switch Online subscribers. This app enables users to stream and download a wide array of music tracks from Nintendo’s extensive line-up of franchises.
Now available on both iOS and Android platforms, the app features music from recent releases as well as classic tunes from Nintendo’s retro library. Additionally, users have the option to hide specific tracks that may contain spoilers, extend or loop tracks for continuous listening pleasure, create playlists, search for playlists based on specific characters, and choose from featured playlists to suit their mood.
While more music will be added in the future, initial franchises showcased in the app’s debut trailer include popular titles like Splatoon, Zelda, Metroid, Mario, Pokémon, Donkey Kong, Star Fox, Fire Emblem, and more.
Essentially, ‘Nintendo Music’ seems to be Nintendo’s take on platforms like Spotify, providing an exciting feature for Switch Online members. As of now, the app is accessible in regions such as North America, the UK, Europe, and Japan, and can be downloaded from the Google Play Store and Apple iOS App Store.
