NYT Connections today (game #517) – the answers
The solutions for today’s Connections, game #517, are…
- YELLOW: CONTORTED BENT, GNARLY, TWISTED, WARPED
- GREEN: SMALLEST AMOUNT LICK, OUNCE, SHRED, TRACE
- BLUE: ALGEBRA TERMS EXPONENT, POWER, RADICAL, ROOT
- PURPLE: WORDS BEFORE “ROOM” TO MEAN LAVATORY BATH, POWDER, REST, THRONE
- My rating: Moderate
- My score: Perfect
A bit of luck is sometimes needed in Connections, similar to Wordle. For instance, today I cracked the purple group by associating the words with ‘foot’ – REST, POWDER, and BATH seemed plausible in that context. To my surprise, THRONE also fit the bill, although my reasoning was slightly off. Turns out the actual connection was WORDS BEFORE “ROOM” TO MEAN LAVATORY, which was a fun twist. Nonetheless, all guesses count, right?
