Tencent’s Monster Hunter Outlanders bringing “fully featured” open-world survival to mobile

Monster Hunter Outlanders: A New Open-World Survival Game for Mobile

Monster Hunter Wilds may be on the horizon, but there’s another exciting game in the works to satisfy your creature-bopping cravings. Capcom and Tencent’s TiMI Studio Group have revealed Monster Hunter Outlanders, a new “fully featured” open-world survival game set to release on mobile devices in the future.

While details about Monster Hunter Outlanders are limited at the moment, Tencent promises that players will experience the series’ classic hunting gameplay. Players will have the opportunity to craft personalized gear and tools while exploring and surviving in unique regions of an open-world map filled with natural environments, ecosystems, and monsters.

The game is also set to include social features, regular world events, and activities to enhance community engagement and enjoyment. Although not explicitly stated, it is expected that Monster Hunter Outlanders will follow the free-to-play model given TiMi’s expertise and the game’s mobile focus.

Monster Hunter Wilds on the Horizon

Capcom’s upcoming flagship monster hunting game, Monster Hunter Wilds, is scheduled to release on February 28th for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam. The recent Steam open beta for Wilds showed promising numbers, hinting at another potential hit for Capcom once any lingering technical issues are addressed.
