Apex Legends Season 23 Patch News

Apex Legends Season 23: What’s New

Apex Legends’ Season 23 has arrived, bringing with it the revival of a classic game mode and exciting changes to the support class. This season also introduces a significant rework for one of the game’s core characters, Lifeline. Let’s dive into the details of what’s new in Season 23.

Relics from the Rift

With the Rift in the sky causing reality to unravel, players will now encounter old and never-before-seen weapons in the arena. Loot ticks known as Rift Relics can be found throughout a match, and upon destruction, they drop Boost Kits and Relic weapons. Boost Kits offer additional perks like Hover, Nessies, Void Reflex, Reactive Regen, and Squad Heal. Meanwhile, Relic weapons showcase powerful effects that can turn the tide for those who claim them.

Lifeline Rework

Before the rework, Lifeline’s abilities felt outdated compared to the newer Legends in the game. Her passive previously allowed her healing drone to revive teammates, while her Ultimate delivered a care package containing loot.

Now, Lifeline’s passive retains the revive ability, but adds a new tactical movement option by allowing her healing drone to function as a parachute. Additionally, her healing drone can now follow a targeted teammate, providing heal support wherever it’s needed. Her new Ultimate creates a protective barrier that blocks projectiles and speeds up consumable item usage for players within the ring, enhancing Lifeline’s frontline capabilities.

Support Perks Incoming

As part of Lifeline’s rework, all Support characters now have the option to choose between two perks: Revive Expert and Healing Expert. Revive Expert speeds up teammate revives and grants a health regen effect upon successful revival. Meanwhile, Healing Expert eliminates movement penalties when using healing items and doubles the amount of healing received.

Launch Royale

Launch Royale offers players the original Apex Legends experience with the return of King’s Canyon. This classic game mode removes Ability Upgrades and EVO Armor, bringing back the old un-nerfed weapons for a nostalgic gameplay experience. Players who have been with Apex Legends since its launch will feel right at home in this limited-time event.
