All WoW Classic Fresh Servers 2024: What’s New

What to Expect from WoW Classic Fresh Servers

Exciting news for World of Warcraft Classic fans as Blizzard announces the introduction of fresh servers, allowing players to relive the TBC experience. With Cataclysm players transitioning to Pandaria, the release of new vanilla realms has been highly anticipated. Here’s a breakdown of what you can expect from these fresh servers.

Spaced Out Updates

As a part of the WoW Classic 20th Anniversary celebrations, the Fresh Servers will provide players with the opportunity to start anew. One of the key changes in these new realms is the pacing of content releases. Here is a breakdown of the schedule for each raid release:

  • Phase 1: Molten Core and Onyxia
  • Phase 2: World Bosses, Warsong Gulch & Alterac Valley Battlegrounds
  • Phase 3: Blackwing Lair Raid, Darkmoon Faire
  • Phase 4: Zul’Gurub Raid, Arathi Basin Battleground
  • Phase 5: Temple of Ahn’Qiraj Raid, Ruins of Ahn’Qiraj Raid
  • Phase 6: Scourge Invasion, Naxxramas Raid, Silithus World PvP

Initially, players will focus on the leveling experience, with the option to aim for level 60 if they seek a power level. The leveling process is expected to be more casual, with Molten Core becoming available three weeks after launch.

PvP, PvE, and Hardcore Servers

Blizzard has revealed that the launch will include one PvE, one PvP, and one Hardcore server. Additional realms will be introduced as needed to prevent the overload issues faced during the 2009 launch. Players on Hardcore servers have the unique ability to transfer to PvP or PvE servers upon death, allowing them to continue playing rather than remain permanently deceased. These transfers are free of charge.

QoL Updates

While the Fresh Servers will uphold a #NoChange Policy, there will be some Quality of Life updates in the future. Once the realms are live, the Guild and Group finder will be available by default, although players can revert to the Classic Guild UI in the Interface settings. The faction balancing system, inspired by the Season of Discovery, ensures a fair distribution of Alliance and Horde populations to maintain balanced PvP power scaling. Players can also look forward to other Season of Discovery features possibly being implemented, such as dual specializations and talent templates.
