New Naughty Dog Game Will Star The Last of Us Actor

Troy Baker to Collaborate with Naughty Dog on New Project

Renowned voice actor Troy Baker is gearing up to work on an upcoming project with Sony game studio Naughty Dog. While the game is led by Neil Druckmann, specific details regarding Baker’s role and the game itself remain shrouded in mystery.

In Return to Naughty Dog

Recently highlighted in a GQ profile, it has been confirmed that Troy Baker, known for his role in The Last of Us, will be returning to work with Naughty Dog. Druckmann expressed his excitement about collaborating with Baker, stating, “In a heartbeat I would always work with Troy.”

Although Naughty Dog has not officially unveiled their next game, there have been hints scattered here and there. During a webinar with BioShock creator Ken Lavine, Druckmann mentioned that the project has been in the works since 2020. Despite not receiving clearance from Sony to make any announcements, Druckmann has been granted full creative freedom.

Speculation has also arisen about Naughty Dog’s potential venture into a fantasy game, rumored to prioritize player freedom within the gameplay.

Baker’s Video Game Legacy

Having lent his voice to numerous video game titles over the years, Troy Baker has been a part of iconic franchises such as The Last of Us, Death Stranding, Borderlands, Uncharted, and Metal Gear Solid. Despite a quieter period in recent gaming projects, Baker is set to appear in two new games this year – Batman: Arkham Shadow and the upcoming Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.

According to reports, Baker’s successful career has afforded him the luxury of being selective with his roles. This includes his involvement in the highly anticipated Ken Lavine game Judas, as well as reprising his role as Higgs in Death Stranding 2: On the Beach.

With rumors swirling about potential PlayStation announcements in the pipeline, there is speculation that Naughty Dog’s project with Troy Baker could be part of the upcoming reveals.
