What’s Fischgiving without some Turkey in Fisch?

Thankfully, players can now celebrate the holiday season in the game by catching the limited-edition ‘fish’ Turkey. This unique Turkey has the potential to display all mutations, with something extra special happening when a Shiny version is caught. Not only is this catch a fun addition to the game, but it also sells for a good price. Make sure to reel in as many Turkeys as you can before the event comes to a close, though the exact end date has not been announced yet.

Where to Catch the Turkey in Fisch

To kick off the Fischgiving event, players must speak with the Pilgrim NPC located near the scoreboard in Moosewood. By selecting the dialogue option “Can you tell me about Fischgiving?” and continuing with “Oh yeah? What is it?”, players will receive information about the Turkeys in Fisch.

To capture the Limited Turkey, players must fish in any location within the game’s world. Using Insect bait is recommended for increasing the chances of a successful catch, especially during the Autumn season. If players do not yet have Insect bait, purchasing multiple Bait Crates can provide a chance of obtaining it. Additionally, Insect bait can also be found in Common Crates that have been fished up.

It’s important to note that reeling in this particular ‘fish’ comes with a -65% progress speed, presenting a unique challenge. Players equipped with a Steady rod or a rod enchanted with high Resilience and control will have an easier time capturing the Turkey. The Rod of the Depths, Trident, and Kings rod are also recommended for this task.

Upon hooking the Turkey, players will notice a blue exclamation point, indicating its Limited rarity status, accompanied by a distinct bell sound.

If a Turkey with the Shiny mutation is caught, it will appear adorned in a top hat and suit with a tie. Players should click on their catch to hear a distinctive gobble sound.

Once enough Turkeys have been collected in Fisch, players can head to the Ancient Archives to craft rods or acquire the Phoenix Rod and Megalodon available in this update.
