Ubisoft Enhances Loyalty Program Benefits for Players
Ubisoft has recently made changes to its loyalty program, offering players more opportunities to benefit from their collected units. According to an email sent to subscribers of the loyalty scheme, players can now use their units to receive discounts on pre-order and new release purchases made on the Ubisoft store. For every 100 units collected, players can enjoy a 20 percent discount on their purchase.
In addition to the discount offer, players can also receive exclusive in-game content and rewards such as legendary weapons, character skins, emotes, and consumables. New Ubisoft accounts start with 100 units, giving players an immediate 20% discount on their first purchase from the Ubisoft Store.
For those who are curious, Ubisoft is currently in discussions with Tencent, a Chinese conglomerate, regarding a possible buyout deal that would make the Assassin’s Creed developer a private company once again. Reports have indicated that Ubisoft is aiming for a deal that would allow the Guillemot family, the French founders of the company, to retain control. However, Tencent, Ubisoft’s second-largest shareholder, is interested in having a more significant role in future board decisions.
