PS5 Activity Cards
One of the most anticipated features of the PS5 console, Activity Cards, seems to have lost its functionality. Previously touted as a game-changing feature, Activity Cards are now being criticized for their lack of usefulness.
What’s the deal with PS5 Activity Cards?
Initially, PS5 Activity Cards provided valuable insights such as players’ progression in a particular game or their last saved point. However, it seems like these cards are now displaying inaccurate information, with progress stuck at 0% for many players across various games.
As a gamer myself, I’ve encountered this issue while playing Final Fantasy XVI, and it appears that other players, especially those enjoying Alan Wake II, are facing similar frustrations. The Activity Cards no longer offer helpful details and merely redirect users to the game’s starting screen due to the removal of the Resume Activity feature by Sony.
Moreover, some games display Activity Cards that only showcase a list of trophies, which seems redundant given the existing methods to track trophy progress. Having multiple tiles on the UI showing repetitive information is not only unproductive but also clutters the user experience.
At this point, PS5 Activity Cards serve little purpose and occupy valuable screen space that could be utilized for more beneficial features. It would be in the best interest of players if these cards were either improved or removed to streamline the user interface.
