Razer Unveils AI Esports Coach Project AVA at CES 2025

Gaming peripherals brand Razer has introduced its latest innovation, Project AVA, an AI esports coach designed to offer real-time insights and analysis to gamers.

Project AVA, showcased at CES 2025, is described by Razer as ‘the ultimate AI gaming copilot,’ providing artificial intelligence-driven esports coaching as users engage in gameplay.

Users can expect real-time insights supported by data from Team Razer’s coaches and players, allowing for personalized post-match recaps to pinpoint areas for improvement.

Team Razer, which includes various esports partners and players, has been actively involved in shaping this project. And in a recent announcement, Razer disclosed partnerships with Movistar KOI, TALON, and esports players Eric ‘Snip3down’ Wrona and Zachary ‘zekken’ Patrone.

In addition to esports coaching, Project AVA will feature an AI game guide to assist users in navigating through puzzles, bosses, and quests within games.

Furthermore, Project AVA aims to optimize a user’s PC setup by analyzing and adjusting the PC based on its specifications and the user’s preferred game settings, ensuring the latest updates in hardware, software, and firmware are in place.

Development and Future Outlook

Razer has shared that Project AVA was crafted by its AI gaming team, incorporating vision analysis and various data inputs, including public APIs. Notably, Project AVA is not just for gamers but also serves as a valuable tool for game developers.

Razer envisions Project AVA being utilized by game developers as an onboarding tool, tutorial guide, and more within their games. For gamers, it serves as a versatile tool, acting as a coach, walkthrough partner, and optimization tool across all games.

Looking ahead, Razer plans to initiate a beta test for Project AVA later this year, opening up new opportunities for gamers and developers alike.
