Popular Xbox Shooter Coming to PS5 Alongside Halo – Report

Xbox Exclusive Gears of War: Ultimate Edition Rumored to Hit PS5 in 2025

Industry insider NateDrake recently revealed that Halo: The Master Chief Collection, a console exclusive for Xbox, is set to arrive on PS5 in 2025. But that’s not all – another popular Xbox shooter may also be making its way to Sony’s gaming platform later this year.

Gears of War: Ultimate Edition Reportedly Coming to PS5 This Year

According to Windows Central’s Jez Corden, not only is Halo on its way to PS5, but other Xbox console exclusives like Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, Age of Mythology, and Gears of War: Ultimate Edition may potentially release for PS5 in 2025 as well.

NateDrake also mentioned that Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 will be coming to PS5 this year. Additionally, rumors suggest that Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Rebirth will be making their way to Xbox in 2025 and 2026 respectively. Corden added that Microsoft is likely to see a significant increase in revenue this year with all these developments.

While the idea of Xbox games coming to PlayStation may seem surprising, it’s not unprecedented. Games like Pentiment and Sea of Thieves are already available on Sony’s platform, with Indiana Jones and the Great Circle set to follow later this year. The transition of Gears of War and Halo to PlayStation is intriguing given their strong association with the Xbox brand. As always, it’s important to take these rumors with caution until official announcements are made.

Rumors about Gears of War coming to PlayStation have been circulating since early last year. The first Gears of War game debuted on Xbox 360 in 2006, becoming one of Xbox’s flagship series. The Ultimate Edition, released in 2015, is a remastered version that enhances the original game’s visuals.

It’s clear that Microsoft has big plans for expanding its gaming reach, and fans can expect more surprises in the coming years. Stay tuned for updates as more details are unveiled.
