Exciting News for Elden Ring Fans!
Elden Ring Nightreign, a collaborative roguelike spinoff of the popular Elden Ring game, is set to have a network test in February. This test will give players a taste of Nightreign’s gameplay, classes, and progression, provided they are selected to participate. While not everyone will get the chance to play in the network test, dedicated Elden Ring fans should definitely sign up for the opportunity.
How to Register for the Elden Ring Nightreign Network Test
Prior to signing up for the Elden Ring Nightreign network test, it’s important to note that the test is exclusive to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X users. Players on PlayStation 4, Windows PC, or Xbox One will not be able to join the test. However, the full release of Elden Ring Nightreign is planned for these platforms.
Update (Jan 10.): Steam has been removed as a platform option for the test by publisher Bandai Namco, after initially being available.

What to Expect in the Elden Ring Nightreign Network Test

The Elden Ring Nightreign network test will focus on identifying any issues and bugs that arise during gameplay, much like the Elden Ring test. There will be five test sessions lasting three hours each, providing multiple opportunities for players.
Testers should take note of any problems encountered, as bugs are expected in a test environment. While the test will give a glimpse of the final product, it is not representative of the complete game.
Given that Nightreign is a co-op game, the test will likely emphasize multiplayer features and server performance, so players may experience some connectivity issues.
Players can expect to engage in the roguelike gameplay loop of success and defeat, exploring the progression system. The availability of heroes during the test is still unknown, but previous tests featured four playable heroes.
