Initially launched in October 2024, the Sound Clock: Alarmo previously required users to have a Switch Online subscription to purchase it online from the My Nintendo Store. This device not only serves as an alarm clock but also detects movements while waking up and plays iconic sounds from popular Nintendo games like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Odyssey, Splatoon 3, and more.
The announcement also hints that the Alarmo will only be available in-store “while supplies last,” implying that it may be a limited-edition product with no plans for restocking.
As we anticipate the release of the Sound Clock: Alarmo in March, speculations arise whether the device will receive an update to be compatible with the rumored Nintendo Switch 2. Recent reports suggest that the much-awaited Nintendo Switch 2 announcement could potentially happen this week. According to VGC, the unveiling of the console might occur in a two-part presentation, focusing on hardware features in the first part and providing an in-depth look at software in the second part.
