Disguised exits VALORANT Challengers SEA, disbands roster

Disguised VALORANT Team Disbands from Challengers SEA

Disguised (DSG), a organization founded by popular streamer Jeremy ‘Disguised Toast’ Wang, has made the decision to depart from the VALORANT Challengers League SEA and disband its roster.

The move comes as part of a rights deal that sees SOOP become the exclusive streaming partner for VALORANT Challengers SEA, preventing organizations from streaming matches on other platforms.

Due to this exclusivity agreement, Disguised will not have the ability to co-stream its VCT matches in 2025 unless the team qualifies for VCT Ascension 2025 – the main tier-two event of the game – in September.

In a statement on social media, the organization mentioned: “With Riot’s recent partnership with SOOP for the SEA League, the exclusivity clause prevents co-streaming on other platforms. This means that we will not be able to showcase our games for the next 10 months until our team qualifies for Ascension.

“It has been an incredible experience entering the SEA region, and we are grateful for the players’ hard work and dedication, as well as the unwavering support from fans.”

Notable Performances and Future Plans

Disguised’s departure from the VALORANT scene follows their recent acquisition of John ‘Ja’ Arone from NAOS Esports in early January.

Although primarily active in the SEA VALORANT scene last year, Disguised managed to achieve some impressive results. The organization emerged victorious in VALORANT Challengers 2024 Southeast Asia: Split 3 and the Predator League Singapore. However, DSG fell short in their bid for promotion to VCT Pacific, finishing 5th-6th in last year’s Ascension tournament.

Looking ahead, outside of their VALORANT endeavors, Disguised is set to make its debut in the 2025 LTA season, which is the premier League of Legends competition in the Americas.
