Ninjas in Pyjamas Unveils New CS2 Roster for 2025 Season

Swedish esports organization Ninjas in Pyjamas (NIP) has revealed its new Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) roster for the upcoming 2025 competitive season.

The team has undergone significant changes, with only Ukranian AWPer Artem ‘r1nkle’ Moroz remaining from the previous year’s lineup.

Joining Moroz are Danish IGL Marco ‘Snappi’ Pfeiffer, support Rasmus ‘sjuush’ Beck, and the Portuguese duo Rafael ‘arrozdoce’ Wing and Michel ‘ewjerkz’ Pinto.

Ninjas in Pyjamas had a tough 2024 season, missing out on qualifying for the CS2 Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 after a tiebreaker loss to Team Spirit. In December 2024, they ranked 49th in Valve’s Global Rankings.

The team is aiming for a better performance this year, with Snappi joining from Team Falcons and sjuush departing HEROIC after a four-year stint.

Snappi is notably a winner of the IEM Dallas 2023 with ENCE, while sjuush played a crucial role in HEROIC’s success, including a first-place finish in BLAST Premier Spring Final in 2023.

Arrozdoce and ewjerkz come to NIP from Portuguese esports organization SAW, which achieved a top-four finish at IEM Cologne in 2024. However, this will be their first time on an international roster.

According to NIP, the majority of the new roster will debut on January 16th in a match against AMKAL in the CCT Season 2 Europe Series 16 Closed Qualifier.

Founded in 2000, NIP is a highly respected esports brand in Europe. After merging with digital sports group ESV5 and going public on the NASDAQ exchange in July 2024, the organization now has operations in Sweden, China, Abu Dhabi, and Brazil, with teams competing in various titles like Rainbow Six Siege, League of Legends, Apex Legends, Rocket League, and MLBB. As of today, NIP’s stock is trading at $7.19 (~£5.86) per share.
