Celeste’s Journals quest guide for Arc Raiders
The “Celeste’s Journals” job on Dam Battlegrounds sounds simple — find two journals, extract, done — but there’s a catch that trips people up. Both journals have to leave topside together on the same run. Banking one in a safe pocket and coming back later for the other won’t register.
You must extract with both journals in a single topside visit; stashing one and returning later won’t count.
Because you need to bring both back to Speranza, go in with an augment that gives you two safe pockets if you have it. That way, once you’ve got both journals, you can pocket them and keep the progress even if you get dropped before extraction. No two-pocket augment available? Consider a free loadout — extracting only one journal does nothing for this quest.
Where to find Celeste’s journal at the South Swamp Outpost
You can tackle the locations in either order, but Dam Battlegrounds tends to spawn you closer to the south, so the South Swamp Outpost is usually the quicker start.
Head for the main dome in that swamp outpost — it’s roughly above the “S” in “Swamp” on your map. Go into the smaller side room that adjoins the main building; there are two beds inside. The journal is on one of those beds. Grab it, then start moving north.
Where to find Celeste’s journal at the northern outpost overlooking the Red Lakes
The second spot is a little trickier because it isn’t a named POI. You’re looking for Raider Outpost East, directly north of the Red Lakes and northeast of the Power Generation Complex. If you can, swing by the Power Generation Complex on the way to try and snag a power rod.
From the South Swamp Outpost, the safer path is straight north, then turn east at West Broken Bridge. That route gives you more cover than cutting across the middle — which is usually crawling with Arc — or crossing the Red Lakes, which is wide open.
Raider Outpost East mirrors the layout of the southern dome. Head inside and look for a single bed pushed against the wall; the journal is there. Once you’ve got both journals, bail fast: either take the raider hatch to the south if you brought a key, or ride the lift to the west if you didn’t.

Bring both back to Speranza in one go and the quest will tick off. If PvP or Arc patrols turn the crossing into a gauntlet, don’t be afraid to reroute for cover — staying alive with both items matters more than shaving a minute off the run.
