‘Communication Hideout’ quest walkthrough in Arc Raiders
Communication Hideout plays out entirely in Buried City and, like a few other Arc Raiders jobs, you’ve got to clear every step in a single run. You don’t need to extract with any items, so rolling in with a free loadout is fine. The catch is the Red Tower segment — between Arc patrols and other squads sniffing around, it can get messy if you hang about.
Red Tower is easy to spot: look just northeast of Plaza Rosa, near the map’s southern edge. Once you reach it, you’ll need to track down a battery cell, slot it into the nearby generator, power it up, then climb the tower to boot the antenna terminal. Here’s the quickest way through each step.
Where to find the missing battery cell
When you arrive at Red Tower, your objective shifts to finding a battery cell. Head a short walk northeast of the tower into a semi-enclosed courtyard — buildings loop around a cluster of palm trees here. Look for a small metal container beside a boarded-up stall. That’s your battery box; pop it open and grab the cell.

How to install the battery cell in the generator
Turn around from the container and you should spot a generator with cables running straight up toward Red Tower. Walk over, insert the battery, and make sure you flip the power switch on the unit. Easy step to miss, but the tower stays dark if you don’t toggle it.

How to boot the antenna terminal
With the juice flowing, you’ll need to reach the antenna terminal on the tower. The route is a bit unintuitive, so follow this path:
- Enter Red Tower via the window next to the generator.
- Take the stairs up and step out onto the roof.
- Climb the ladder directly ahead (skip the one on your left) to the next level.
- Turn right and follow the walkway around.
- The antenna terminal is up against the back wall of the tower.

Interact with the terminal to complete the job. You can head back to Speranza to collect your rewards — including an Anvil 3, which isn’t a bad haul. Stuck on other Buried City tasks? The same approach helps with quests like Armored Transports, The Clean Dream, and Paving the Way: keep it tight, move fast, and don’t linger at hot spots like the tower.”
