In Pokémon Legends: Z-A, Galarian Farfetch’d evolves into Sirfetch’d under a specific condition: it has to score multiple critical hits during a single encounter. With Legends: Z-A’s real-time skirmishes, that “single battle” bit can feel fuzzy — but it simply means the whole time the red banner with the exclamation mark stays at the top of your screen, you’re still in one continuous fight.
Galarian Farfetch’d appears in the Hyperspace Pokédex with the Mega Dimension DLC. If you don’t own the DLC, you can still use one via trade.
How to evolve Galarian Farfetch’d into Sirfetch’d in Pokémon Legends: Z-A
Galarian Farfetch’d must land three critical hits in one encounter. Because you can engage multiple targets at once, those crits do not all have to hit the same Pokémon — they just need to happen before the encounter ends (i.e., before that red banner disappears).
Any of the following will count:
- Three critical hits on a single Pokémon.
- One critical hit each on three different Pokémon during the same encounter.
- A multi-target move that crits two Pokémon at once, plus one more crit on any Pokémon before the encounter ends.
- Two critical hits on one Pokémon and one on another, all within the same uninterrupted battle.

If you get knocked out or end the encounter by clearing the field, you’ll need to start the count over. Once Farfetch’d lands its three crits, open the menu — you’ll see the evolve prompt waiting for your leek-toting bird.
How to land a critical hit with Galarian Farfetch’d in Pokémon Legends: Z-A
Critical hits are less common than standard hits, so it helps to boost your odds. Two held items are especially useful here.
The Scope Lens raises the holder’s critical-hit ratio. You can buy one from the vendor on the right inside Racine Construction. Completing Side Mission 54 (available after Main Mission 19) also rewards a Scope Lens; that side mission is found at Quasartico Inc. in the Magenta District.
Mega Dimension also adds the Leek held item, which similarly increases Farfetch’d’s critical-hit rate. After finishing Hyperspace Mission 3, Side Mission 133 unlocks. Head to the Pokémon Center on the eastern outskirts of Lumiose at the intersection of North Boulevard and Jaune Street, near the bottom-right corner of Wild Zone 19.

Talk to the berry vendor next to that Pokémon Center to start the mission. You don’t even need to complete it — you’ll receive a Leek just for initiating. You can also buy extra Leeks from the same vendor for $1,000.
Give Farfetch’d either a Scope Lens or a Leek and it’ll stack critical hits fast, making that Sirfetch’d evolution a quick win.
