Fortnite: How to get the Stick of Truth and what it does
The Stick of Truth — yes, the absurdly powerful relic from South Park: The Stick of Truth — has dropped into Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 1. It’s not just a nod; it can literally bend the match around whoever holds it.
One of the Born in Chaos quests asks you to find and use the Stick of Truth. The catch: it doesn’t appear every match, and when it does, there are only a few to go around. Expect a bit of luck and persistence.
How to get the Stick of Truth
The Stick of Truth only appears via a Stick of Truth rift anomaly, which has a chance to trigger after the third Storm Circle closes. The event is uncommon, so it may take multiple matches before it shows in yours.
When the anomaly triggers, open your map and look for a stick-shaped icon. Head to that marker and you’ll find a pedestal topped with a red pillow holding the Stick of Truth.

What the Stick of Truth does
If you grab it first, you can harness its party-trick power: force the final circle to close on your current position. After activating the stick, the storm begins converging and finishes closing in roughly three and a half minutes.
For the quest, the safest play is to use it immediately so you don’t lose it to another player. If you’re aiming to win the match, wait until you’ve secured strong positioning — high ground or solid cover — before activating, since the entire lobby will be funneled straight to you.
