All Grounded 2 ranger station locations and how to reach every outpost
Tracking down ranger station locations in Grounded 2 isn’t strictly required, but it makes life in the park a whole lot easier. These outposts are handy, relatively safe places to set up a base, and they’re almost always stocked with something useful — think snacks, a water cooler, and sometimes a solid weapon or a few consumables.
Below is every Grounded 2 ranger station location, how to find it, and what to expect when you arrive.
How to spot ranger stations quickly
If you’re not sure where the nearest station might be, look for the tall copper water pump rising above the grass. There’s one beside every outpost. You can also open photo mode, unlock the camera, and zoom out if the grass is blocking your view. Most mornings, a dew drop forms under the pump’s spout, so building near a station basically gives you a daily water source.
Do note: Most outposts north of the snackbar have some flavor of O.R.C. patrol nearby. If you plan to base up at one, build far enough away that you’re not constantly pulling aggro.
Snackbar ranger station
This is the first station you’ll stumble into — Sloane Beaumont sends you here during the early story steps — and it’s hard to miss. It sits in a tucked-away pocket that’s fairly calm, making it a great first-base candidate. Orb Weaver Jrs and spiderlings do wander the area behind the outpost (where you’ll find acorn shells) and to the south, so keep an ear out. There’s a small patch of edible mushrooms to the north, and it’s a regular thoroughfare for weevils, which makes early-game food easy.
Trash Bags ranger station
Head just past the snackbar’s northern edge, where the hedge and its lingonberries come into view, and you’ll hit the trash bags station. Expect at least one O.R.C. enemy holding the door. If you’re solo, bring your buggy for backup before you knock.
Pine Hill ranger station
Look west from the picnic table’s northwestern corner. The station sits near a ledge with dangling roots and mushrooms, and it’s a welcome breather in a spider-heavy zone. An O.R.C. Orb Weaver roams the nearby path, so approach prepared. Bonus: there are plenty of pine needles around.
Fire Pit ranger station
This one’s across the big rock, west of the Yoked Girth Magazine point of interest — and it’s spicy. An O.R.C. roach plus a handful of roach nymphs guard the spot, and there’s an eager Orb Weaver pacing nearby. If it’s your first full-grown roach fight, know that it revives after “death.” Its head pops off, it sprints around spewing bug juice, and it swipes with its front legs until you put it down a second time.
Ice Cream Cart ranger station
Compared to the fire pit, the ice cream cart outpost is downright peaceful. It sits just outside the cart’s frosty zone and close to the berry patch for blueberry leather. Bees pass through here regularly too, so you’ve got a reliable source of fuzz nearby.
Ceremony ranger station
Travel east of the Headless BURG.L statue point of interest and look under a rocky overhang. More O.R.C. Orb Weavers patrol this area, so stay alert as you push in.
Statue ranger station
Further east in the ceremony region is the statue outpost. In the early access build, getting there is a bit of a trek. It’s perched on a ridge overlooking a small swamp. Because the park’s current border runs right beside and behind it, you’ll need to loop north and use a narrow path roughly even with the electrical outlet box. Expect Orb Weavers along the way — and an O.R.C. mosquito standing guard at the door.
Flower Bed ranger station
This one takes more legwork. The only way up the statue base is via a hidden route underneath it. On your buggy, enter the pipe on either side of the steps via the marked entrances and clear the O.R.C. larva inside. The tunnel forks, and at the back you’ll find a stinkbug superboss you can safely ignore for now.
Blitz past that fight and have your buggy chew through the roots on the left. The station’s door is locked on this side, so don’t expect to pop it immediately. Behind the roots is a tunnel that climbs into the flower bed — really a maze through the stonework. Work your way through (fight or bypass as you like) and it’ll finally spit you into the bed proper.
The outpost is tucked into the stone on the northwestern side, guarded by an O.R.C. northern scorpion. Inside you’ll find a SCA.B 2.0 device that unlocks the flower bed station’s back door, located in the northeastern corner of the Grass Games region.
Rose Garden ranger station
Bring a torch. You won’t see much without it.
Before you head in, drop down the well-like opening at the center of the flower bed and ride the pneumatic lift. It drops you into another outpost room with a SCA.B 2.0 device at the far end. Interact with it to unlock the door behind the stinkbug. This step isn’t required, but it’s a helpful shortcut.

When you’re ready, skip the hedge entrance in the middle row — the one guarded by a scorpion — and go south. In the corner you’ll find another hedge entry with no guard. Head inside and light your torch. The branch path to the right looks like a dead end, but keep going and you’ll hit the rose garden. If you grab the raw science glob, you’ve gone too far; the entrance is just before it.
Straight ahead is the water pump, the outpost, and an O.R.C. bee. A praying mantis nymph waits on a leaf above the door, so either gear up for a scrap or sprint inside.
There may be other paths into the rose garden, but this route is dependable.
Park Bench ranger station
Added with the Toxic Tangle update’s slight Grass Games expansion, this outpost is, fittingly, under the towering park bench — hard to miss. An O.R.C. stinkbug guards the doorway. It shares the usual stinkbug weaknesses, so a gas mask helps if you’re brawling up close, and a Glacial Sting rod lets you pelt it with fresh damage from a safe distance.
Veggie Garden ranger station
This station sits roughly in the middle of the Veggie Garden — west of the chard patch where ladybug eggs spawn and a little east of the Hammer point of interest. An O.R.C. rust beetle blocks the door. Avoid its tang puddles and you can drop it quickly. Potato beetles also roam here; take a couple out to snag what you need for upgrading your Omni-Tool’s hatchet.
Greenhouse ranger station
Look on the greenhouse’s eastern side, just north of the fertilizer sacks. An O.R.C. potato beetle patrols the entrance. Unlike its normal cousins, it’s aggressive and will rush you once it spots you.
Pumpkin Patch ranger station
Find this one east of the raised bed and northeast of the big tangle of pumpkins. An O.R.C. mantis nymph is on guard duty. Fresh damage works well here, so bring mint arrows or a fresh-based weapon to make short work of it.
What to do next
If you’re still getting your bearings in Grounded 2, general beginner tips will help you stay upright longer. While you roam, keep an eye out for acorn shells and tops, weed stems, lingonberries, and grass seeds for the Omni-Tool’s shovel. And if you’re near the picnic table, climb to the top and punch in the briefcase code for a nice little surprise.
