Azure logs are one of the rarer resources in Hytale, since they only drop from a specific kind of tree. The scarcity makes sense: you’ll need azure logs to craft teleporters — easily some of the strongest tools in the game for fast, long-distance travel.
It’s a mid-tier crafting ingredient, so you might not need it right away. Still, it’s worth knowing where to farm azure logs before you actually need them. Here’s the short version of how to track them down.
How to find azure logs in Hytale
You’ll need to locate azure trees first. They’re uncommon, but easy to spot thanks to their bright blue leaves. Once you find one, chop it with any hatchet and collect the logs — there’s no tier requirement to fell these trees.

You can wander and scan the horizon for that splash of blue, but there’s a faster approach. Open your map in the Emerald Wilds (the starting region) and look for zones that skew blue overall. Those spots usually have multiple bodies of water — rivers, ponds, or lakes — and tend to host clusters of azure trees. While you’re there, keep an eye out for azure kelp as well, since you’ll need that for teleporter crafting too.

Because the world is procedurally generated, azure forests won’t look the same from one seed to the next. You might find a tiny grove with just a handful of trees or a larger patch with plenty. Either way, stock up when you find one so you won’t have to track down another azure forest later.
