If you’ve been playing Schedule 1 and find that the pawn shop isn’t functioning, you’re certainly not alone. Numerous players have experienced the frustration of Mick, the pawn shop proprietor, going missing. Whether you need to sell items or make some quick cash, don’t worry—this issue can be resolved.
Reasons for Mick’s Absence in Schedule 1
There are several possible explanations for Mick’s disappearance:
- You’re on the Police’s Radar
If you’ve attracted too much attention, Mick might be taking precautions by staying away. As an associate, he could temporarily disappear until the situation calms down. Try to avoid drawing attention for a few in-game days, and once your wanted level decreases, he should return. - Mick is Assigned as One of Your Dealers
If you have designated Mick to operate as a dealer, you may find the shop lacking an attendant. He can’t be in two places simultaneously—if he’s out on a deal, he won’t be at his post. Remove him from your dealer list, go to sleep, and return the following day; he should ideally be present. - Possible Glitch or Bug
Often, the issue might arise from technical glitches. Certain NPCs in Schedule 1 may not spawn correctly due to minor bugs or corrupted files. Reloading your saved game can sometimes resolve the issue. Save your game, exit to the main menu, reload your save, and check again. - Check Steam File Integrity: If the above steps fail, you might want to verify the integrity of your game files on Steam in hopes that this will bring Mick back.
- Restart your computer and open Steam.
- Right-click on the game in your Library.
- Select Properties from the dropdown menu.
- Go to the Installed Files tab and click on Verify integrity of game files.
- Wait for the verification to complete and then relaunch the game.

Note that the shop operates from 6 AM to 6 PM, and Mick is unavailable on Saturdays and Sundays.
