Pokémon Legends: Z-A’s Mega Dimension DLC is out, and it packs in a lot for anyone itching to linger in Lumiose City a bit longer. The teasers were coy — Pokémon over level 100? New Mega Evolutions? Donut baking? — but yes, all of that’s real. If you’ve been on the fence about diving back in, here’s what actually changes once you install Mega Dimension.
An expanded Hyperspace Pokédex
The DLC restores 132 additional Pokémon to the game, each obtainable through different activities. Even if you don’t buy the DLC, you can still use these Pokémon — you’ll just need someone with Mega Dimension to trade them over.
New Mega Evolutions
Plenty of Pokémon get fresh Mega forms, including Mega Raichu X and Y. Several missing Megas from the base game also return: Mega Sceptile, Mega Blaziken, Mega Swampert, Mega Latios, Mega Latias, and Mega Rayquaza.
A handful (Sceptile, Blaziken, Swampert, and Baxcalibur) are available to non-DLC players as Z-A Battle Club rewards, but based on current playthroughs, the rest of the new Mega Stones don’t seem accessible without the DLC.

Hyperspace Missions with a new story
Instead of “Main Missions,” the DLC pivots to “Hyperspace Missions” tied to its storyline. To push the plot forward, you’ll collect Hyperspace Survey Points by jumping into portals around Lumiose and clearing their objectives — think of it like the mission cards from the Z-A Royale at night. The loop will feel familiar: watch a cutscene, grind some points, tackle a Rogue Mega Evolution, then go again.
Explore Hyperspace Lumiose
Those portals aren’t open by default. You’ll need to feed Hoopa a donut you bake with Ansha (more on that in a second) to dive in. Each pocket dimension is semi-randomized — layouts, blockades, and quirks swap around enough to keep repeat runs from feeling identical.
Hyperspace Lumiose is where many of the DLC Pokémon spawn, and it’s also a solid farm for Exp. Candy.
Bake donuts with Ansha
You’ll craft donuts using berries. Don’t panic if your berry count is low at the start — later, higher-tier portals and story progress unlock Hyperspace-themed berries and upgrades for better recipes.
Some donuts even boost encounter and shiny odds, very much like sandwiches do in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

Pokémon levels above 100 for the first time
Yes, you’ll see levels climb past 100 — but only inside Hyperspace Lumiose, and only temporarily. As the story ramps up, so do enemy levels, and you’ll rely on better donuts (which grant your party temporary level boosts) to keep pace.
Caught Pokémon don’t keep those inflated levels. They scale back down on capture — so that level 132 Zangoose you spotted? It’ll land around level 21 once it’s yours. Dang.
More side missions
The DLC adds new side missions as you go, some introducing recent Pokédex additions, others just there for a laugh. A bunch of post-game requests also tee up legendary Pokémon encounters.

Additional requests from Mable
In the base game, unlocking the shiny charm meant slogging through 1,000 battles for one of Mable’s requests. The DLC changes that calculus. New Hyperspace-flavored requests from Mable let you hit level 50 just by playing through naturally. Procrastinators win again.
New clothing and hair options
Several side missions now unlock NPC outfits and hairstyles for your character — specifically sets from Canari, Ivor, Corbeau, Jacinthe, and Grisham.
Less flashy, but worth noting: buying the DLC grants immediate access to those glowing outfit variants.
