Where to find Pansage, Pansear, and Panpour in Pokémon Legends: Z-A
In Pokémon Legends: Z-A, Side Mission 18, “A Pan-tastic Pot of Tea,” asks you to bring Pansage, Pansear, and Panpour to a café manager. Tracking down all three can be annoying at first — the game says they like trees and rooftops, which is true, but not exactly helpful when you’re staring up at every branch in Lumiose.
We did find a couple of reliable early rooftops that spawn these little scamps consistently, so you don’t have to spend all afternoon scanning skylines.
Update (Dec. 18): Added quick notes on the evolutions and where to find their alpha forms.
The pan-monkeys don’t appear in wild zones. Instead, they pop up around the city — usually elevated — and the spawns rotate among the three species. At the spots below, you’ll always see multiple pan-monkeys, but which ones you get is random. If you end up with duplicates, you can catch or defeat them; just know you’ll need to wait a while for the rooftop to repopulate.
First location — Bleu Sector 7 rooftop
Head west from Wild Zone 1 until you reach the Bleu Pokémon Center. Wrap around the building to find a food truck (Nouveau Café Truck No. 2), which also becomes a fast travel point. Use the scaffolding along this building to climb up — it’s the same route many use for grabbing an early Eevee.
Once you’re on the rooftops above the Pokémon Center, look for two chatting NPCs and some breakable rocks. You should see two pan-monkeys nearby. Levels vary, but they commonly show up around 16–17 here.
Second location — Jaune Sector 2 rooftop
Make your way to Jaune Sector 2, west of the Justice Dojo. Starting from Prism Tower, head northwest. When you reach the Saison Canal, take the northern path and climb the wide staircase. At the top, turn left to find a ladder up to the roof.
From the ladder, glance right and you’ll spot three pan-monkeys lounging on the lower rooftop. Expect levels in the 14–17 range at this spot.
These aren’t the only roofs they frequent, but both locations are easy to reach early on, which makes finishing the tea mission a lot faster.
For evolutions, you can sometimes find Simisage, Simisear, and Simipour as alpha spawns in Wild Zone 20. It’s a bit of a roll, though — only two alphas appear in the center of that zone at a time. If you’d rather evolve your own, grab stones at the Stone Emporium on Vernal Avenue: Pansage needs a Leaf Stone, Pansear uses a Fire Stone, and Panpour uses a Water Stone. The mission asks for their base forms anyway, so hold off evolving until you’ve turned them in.
