Hollow Knight: Silksong’s Broodfeast wish is exactly what it sounds like: a vague, slightly stomach-turning errand where Hornet rounds up a sampler platter of mangled organs so a bunch of sewer kids don’t make a meal of her instead. It’s long, it’s picky about tools, and if you wander into the Putrified Ducts early, you’ll almost certainly be missing the kit you need. The payoff’s worth the grind, though — the reward stretches your needle’s reach, which is a lifesaver once Act 3 bosses start bullying the midrange.
Below is a clean path to farming seared, shredded, and skewered organs for Broodfeast. If you lose your bearings at any point, an interactive map of Pharloom is handy to have open.
‘Broodfeast’ quest location in Hollow Knight: Silksong

Broodfeast starts in the Putrified Ducts, tucked into the upper-right of Pharloom. You won’t get there comfortably for a while — you’ll need both the Clawline and the Faydown cloak.
Once you’re geared up, the cleanest route is through Memorium, across the Citadel’s roof, then into the Ducts via the upper-left entrance. Hit the Bellway station on the way in, rest at the nearby bench, and make this your respawn just in case. You can push up from the Bilehaven bench instead, but the Bellway makes the next steps less painful. If either path is giving you grief, circle back once you’ve got firmer footing in the Ducts.
From the entrance, carefully descend the long vertical shaft to the very bottom. Head left, break the cracked walls, and step into the next chamber. There’s a hut in the center. Inside waits Huntress — very large, very hungry, and thankfully not immediately hostile. She’ll spare you if you agree to bring food for her brood: seared organs, shredded organs, and skewered organs. A lot of each.
‘Broodfeast’ walkthrough in Hollow Knight: Silksong

Silksong never actually tells you how to make these drops happen. The rules are simple once you notice them: any living enemy (pilgrims are perfect) can drop the organs, but the required tool must land the killing blow. You can whittle enemies down however you like; just finish them with the right tool.
To avoid counting swings or wasting shards, farm weak targets near a bench. Upgrading your tool pouch at least twice helps — each upgrade bumps tool damage.
A reliable spot is just to the right of Greymoor’s Halfway House (the same hallway that’s great for rosary farming). There are six pilgrims in a tight loop, a bench for quick resets, and easy shard/rosary pick-ups that cover your tool costs. You’ll clear the Broodfeast totals in a handful of laps.
How to get seared organs for ‘Broodfeast’

Fire does the searing. You’ve got three options:
• Pimpillo bomb: The easiest to obtain (see the Sandcarver path), but it bounces before it goes off, so your throws need a bit of feel. In the Greymoor farm lane, enemies cluster tightly enough that even sloppy tosses usually tag two at once.
• Wispfire Lantern: Dropped by the Father of the Flame in the Wisp Thicket. It spends silk to summon a fire wisp that hunts down nearby foes. It’s hands-off, but damage is low, so it’s slower per kill.
• Flintslate tool: Temporarily lights your needle, letting you tag multiple enemies in one go. Getting it is the catch. The easy route is a simple key for the padlock in Deep Docks, then two careful rooms to the tool. If you’ve burned through the nearby simple keys and don’t want to trek to the Sands of Karak, there’s a tougher backdoor from the bottom of Far Fields — expect lava and nasty opposition.

You’ll need 15 seared organs.
How to get shredded organs for ‘Broodfeast’

Shredded organs are easiest with the Cogwork Wheel. Buy it from the Twelfth Architect in the Underworks for 360 rosary beads and one Craftmetal. It mulches weak enemies and often yields multiple stacks, which is lovely because you need 35.
If you’ve acquired the Architect’s Crest, equipping it turns your basic attack into a whirring screw that works like the wheel and can also produce shredded organs. The catch: you’ll need several tools in hand before you can even buy the key to reach that crest. If you’re light on tools, stick with the Cogwork Wheel.
How to get skewered organs for ‘Broodfeast’

Skewered organs come from finishing blows with the Longpin or Sting Shard tools. You can buy Sting Shard from the Forge Daughter in Deep Docks. The Longpin is tucked behind a wasp nest in Shellwood, just above the lower Bellhart entrance.
Between the two, the Longpin is more consistent. Sting Shard hits harder, but it’s finicky — enemies can trigger it early or dodge the flying spines. Longpin is simpler to aim and pierces through targets, letting you tag multiple pilgrims with one throw. Huntress wants 10 skewered organs.
‘Broodfeast’ rewards

Hand over the haul and Huntress gives you the Longclaw blue tool. Equip it to extend your needle’s reach — essentially a Longnail for Hornet — which makes certain late-game duels feel a lot less claustrophobic.
If you’re still settling in, a few early upgrades help smooth the grind: push main story beats for power bumps (like the needle upgrade after The Threadspun Town), keep an eye out for simple keys, and farm safe routes near benches when a wish asks for very specific finishing blows.
