    Your Guide to Pokémon Go’s ‘Pinch Perfect’ Event

    Pokémon Go’s Pinch Perfect event is all about the claw crowd and runs Jan. 6–11. The headline act is Klawf’s debut, plus the first chance at shiny Dhelmise.

    There’s also double XP for catches during the event. If you’ve been meaning to grind levels, this is an easy win—find a busy spot, pop a Lucky Egg, and start tapping.

    Quick heads-up: Klawf won’t be in the wild. You’ll need to pull it from event Research—either Timed Research or specific Field Research tasks.

    Pokémon Go ‘Pinch Perfect’ Timed Research and rewards

    Event Timed Research rolls out in short bursts across the week, with encounters featuring Dwebble, Corphish, Clauncher, and Klawf. Each set sticks around for two days. Expect similar task lists with slightly different rewards.

    ‘Pinch Perfect: Dwebble Timed Research’ — step 1 of 1 (Jan. 6–8)

    • Catch 5 Pokémon (Dwebble encounter)
    • Catch 10 Pokémon (Dwebble encounter)
    • Catch 15 Pokémon (Dwebble encounter)
    • Catch 20 Pokémon (Dwebble encounter)
    • Catch 25 Pokémon (Dwebble encounter)

    Rewards: Klawf encounter, 950 XP, 950 Stardust

    ‘Pinch Perfect’ Premium Timed Research — steps 1 and 2

    This optional track costs $1.99. It’s really only worth it if you want extra shots at the featured encounters (or shiny checks). Both steps are the same:

    • Catch 5 Pokémon (Dwebble encounter)
    • Catch 5 Pokémon (Corphish encounter)
    • Catch 5 Pokémon (Clauncher encounter)
    • Catch 10 Pokémon (Dhelmise encounter)

    Rewards: Klawf encounter, 1 Premium Battle Pass, 9,500 XP

    Spinning PokéStops during the event can drop these tasks:

    • Catch 5 Pokémon (10 Poké Balls, 5 Great Balls, or 3 Ultra Balls)
    • Catch 10 Pokémon (Corphish, Dwebble, or Clauncher encounter)
    • Catch 15 Pokémon (1,500 Stardust)
    • Win a raid (Dhelmise or Klawf encounter)

    Players have also reported seeing these in the wild during the event window:
