How to Get The Lament Exotic Sword (Dead Exos)

Guides

Destiny 2: Beyond Light is here and, obviously, there are lots of new exotics to obtain both in the weapons and armor departments. A lot of what has been released in the expansion so far is quite powerful, so many people have their eyes on The Lament, an exotic sword that lets you tear through barrier champion shields. We’ll go over what you need to know about how to get the Lament exotic sword and what to do with the Dead Exos we’ve been hearing about.

How to Get Lament Exotic Sword

So if you’re here, you’re probably a bit confused as many players have been over the last few days. There’s a lot of talk about the Lament exotic sword, and even quest steps listed… but no quest in the game.

That is because the quest steps have been datamined and we have a pretty good idea of what to expect.

However, the Lament exotic quest is not yet in the game. It will likely be added at some point in the near future during Season of the Hunt AKA the first season releasing alongside Beyond Light for Year 4, but there’s no set date yet.

The Dead Exos players have been searching for, will eventually be tied to the Lament exotic sword. Some of the quest steps have been mined, and you can check it out here if you’re curious.

That said, we can’t yet confirm if this is 100% accurate, if it’s all the steps, and how to actually go about doing it all ourselves until it’s in Destiny 2 and we can test it ourselves. When that happens, we’ll be sure to update this guide.

That’s all you need to know as of Monday 11/16/2020 about the Lament exotic sword quest and the dead exos. Again, once we have some information that we can confirm, we’ll make sure this guide is ready to go.
